Cannon Beach Elopement Preparation and First Look
The day started at their cozy Airbnb in Cannon Beach. Casey got ready with her closest friends and family. She was surrounded by laughter, excitement, and the calm that arrives when you’re right where you’re meant to be. Hair and makeup were done by Megan from OffWhite Makeup & Beauty. Her bouquet—elegant, earthy, and wild in all the right ways—was designed by Alana from Flowers by Alana. You could feel the anticipation building as Casey waited for the moment she’d see Brent for the first time.
Once Brent was ready, he and his family picked me up from the Airbnb. We drove together to Ecola State Park—one of my favorite spots for Oregon Coast elopement photography. It’s the kind of place where the forest meets the sea, offering both privacy and incredible scenery. Casey and Brent chose to do their first look tucked into the trees. You could hear the sounds of the ocean in the distance, and nothing but calm all around them. It was such a grounding moment—just the two of them, sharing sweet words, teary smiles, and genuine admiration. The kind of moment that slows time down in the best way.
Wedding Portraits at Hug Point
After soaking up that peaceful pocket of the day, we made our way to Hug Point for wedding portraits. Hug Point is another beautiful Oregon Coast location with rugged rock faces, waterfalls, and wide-open beach views. This location, with its unique rock formations and secluded beaches, offered a tranquil environment for Casey & Brent to reflect before the ceremony. Their portraits here felt effortless and full of joy. Every part of their day was crafted with intention, and it all began with this slow, meaningful morning in Cannon Beach.
Elopement Ceremony at Elk Flats on the Oregon Coast
After an intentional start to the day, we made our way to Casey and Brent’s Oregon Coast elopement ceremony location. This location was one of the most breathtaking spots I’ve ever photographed. Tucked along the Elk Flats Trail, south of Cannon Beach, this cliffside location is known for its dramatic coastal views. Adorned with rugged cliffs, this kind of wild beauty will stop you in your tracks. The moment we walked up to the overlook, everyone paused in awe. It was one of those rare places that makes you feel both grounded and small in the best way. Like you’re witnessing something far greater than anything you’ve seen before.
Elk Flats was the perfect backdrop for C + B’s intimate elopement ceremony. With the vast Pacific Ocean stretching out behind them, the wind gently moving through the grass, and waves crashing below, the landscape mirrored the depth and intention of their commitment. The ceremony was led by one of Casey’s closest friends, which made it even more personal and heartfelt. There was no rush, no pressure—just real emotion, nature, and a quiet sense of awe. It felt deeply aligned with the kind of day they wanted to create: honest, connected, and entirely their own.
After they exchanged vows and officially tied the knot, the group shared hugs, laughter, and tears before we made our way back toward Cannon Beach. There, they celebrated with their favorite people over dinner at Cannon Beach Smokehouse—low-key, joyful, and true to them in every way.
