It was the perfect blend of elegance and fun, with intentional details that kept the energy high. From the oceanfront ceremony to the palm-lined reception, here’s what makes a Teitiare Estate Sayulita Mexico wedding special.

Laura & Cliff’s Story

Laura and Cliff’s love story began through a mutual connection—Laura’s best friend and co-worker, who also happens to be Cliff’s sister, Hilarry. Though they first met in 2016 and shared an undeniable spark, life took them in separate directions. It wasn’t until 2018, at Coachella, that they realized they couldn’t live without each other. After an intentional and FUN meetup at the festival, Cliff knew what he had to do. He skipped day 2 and drove back to San Diego to officially ask Laura to be his girlfriend. Fast forward to their engagement, Cliff admitted he never wanted to let Laura go. Which ultimately led to their stunning Teitiare Estate wedding in Sayulita, Mexico.

Why They Chose To Have a Teitiare Estate Sayulita Mexico Wedding

Teitiare Estate is a private, cliffside wedding venue that offers both luxury and seclusion. Located next to Playa Carricitos, it provides direct beach access while keeping the celebration intimate and exclusive. The location allows couples to host their ceremonies with the Pacific Ocean as a backdrop, while offering stunning panoramic views. With accommodations on-site, family and close friends could stay together, making the entire weekend feel connected and intentional. For Laura and Cliff, these features were perfect to bring their festival-inspired vision to life.

The estate’s versatility allowed each part of the day to have its own unique backdrop. The beach for the ceremony, the lawn for cocktails, and the palm-lined reception space. The layout allowed for seamless transitions without feeling rushed, giving everyone time to soak in the magic of each moment.

Ceremony

The couple exchanged vows on Playa Carricitos with the Pacific Ocean as their backdrop. The sound of crashing waves created a surreal, grounding atmosphere. The ceremony space was styled with rattan mats and flower petals in soft neutrals and pinks. Plus the natural beauty of the beach truly set the tone.

Cocktail Hour

Following the ceremony, guests moved to the grass pasture between the beach and the main estate. This transitional space was perfect for a high-vibe cocktail hour featuring a live mariachi band and a tequila tasting. There’s something so special about including a nod to the local culture in at a destination wedding. Drinks and appetizers kept everyone mingling and connected while the couple took wedding portraits.

Reception

Next, the reception took place under swaying palm trees, with party lights and a disco ball overhead. Long farm tables allowed for family-style gathering with a luxury plated dinner. The tablescape included gold-accented silverware, candles, and vibrant floral arrangements to add warmth and charm. The dance floor was checkered in neutral tones and surrounded by lounge seating. A kids’ play area was available for the younger guests. Late night food stations offering churros and rolled ice cream tacos were available to keep the dance party going! Cultivating an interactive dessert experience.

Teitiare Estate also provides on-site accommodations, allowing the couple’s closest family members to stay comfortably throughout the wedding weekend.

A Celebration That Felt Like a Music Festival – Unique Wedding Details

Laura & Cliff went all-in on creating an experience that felt like a luxury music festival. They didn’t just want a wedding—they wanted an experience. Every element of their Teitiare Estate Sayulita Mexico wedding was crafted to be interactive, high-energy, and most importantly, fun.

The Grand Entrance: A Scooter Ride Into the Party

Forget the standard walk-in—Laura & Cliff made their reception entrance on a scooter, landing at the dance floor. It was playful, unexpected, and completely on-brand for them. With that, Cliff handled the driving. Laura, looking effortlessly chic in her bridal attire, held on with one arm and waved a maraca with the other. It set the tone for what was to come: a night of laughter, dancing, and lots of celebration. Afterwards, the two welcomed their guests & got the party started.

Live Music & Festival Vibes

Music was the heartbeat of the entire weekend. A live saxofonista played as guests arrived to Teitiare Estate, enjoying welcome drinks & mingling before the ceremony. A violinist played during the ceremony processional, adding an ethereal energy as the waves crashed in the distance. During cocktail hour, a mariachi band brought traditional Mexican flair. The music kept the atmosphere lively as guests sipped cocktails and mingled on the lush lawn of Teitiare Estate.

However, the real transformation happened when the reception kicked off. A DJ turned the dance floor into a full-on festival experience, complete with lasers, LED lights, and a massive disco ball hanging between the palm trees. The music pulsed, the energy soared, and it truly felt like a destination party where every single guest was ready to dance.

Food & Drink: A Culinary Experience at Teitiare Estate

Laura & Cliff wanted their wedding to feel immersive, and that included food and drink experiences. With that said, one of the experiences included a tequila tasting during cocktail hour. Guests were greeted by a selection of artisanal Mexican tequilas, setting the tone for the evening. Furthermore, dinner was a gourmet feast. The coursed meal blended local flavors with a modern touch, keeping guests satisfied before the dancing began.

As the night went on, late-night snacks made an appearance. A station serving rolled ice cream tacos became an instant hit, offering guests a fun, interactive treat. Churros, warm and dusted with cinnamon sugar, were passed around—because no great party should end without something sweet.

An Interactive Seating Chart: A Shot Glass with Meaning

In a break from tradition, Laura & Cliff made sure even the seating chart was an experience. Instead of a printed seating chart, guests found their table assignments with a handcrafted Mexican shot glasses, each unique and artisan-made. These doubled as wedding favors, a keepsake that guests could take home as a reminder of the night.

A Private Cake Cutting: A Sweet Moment for Laura & Cliff

In the midst of the high-energy celebration, Laura & Cliff carved out a small, intimate moment just for themselves. Away from the crowd, they shared a private cake cutting with a heart-shaped vintage cake that read “Just Married.” Furthermore, the moment was sweet, meaningful, and an energizing pause before rejoining the dance floor.

The night could have ended there—but Laura & Cliff wanted something even more unforgettable.

Finally, as the sparklers fizzled out, the sky suddenly exploded with offshore fireworks. It was a grand finale worthy of the night, a dazzling show reflecting on the ocean waves, closing the celebration with a bang.
